Rhawnie rambles about *VoguE* .....again

Corinna, my all time favorite of Zalyn Bailey's designs for her store *VoguE*.  What i think Zal does best are the classic clean lines in deep colors.  Those area always my favorites.  She's been known to do countless uploads to get lines to lie just right, especially around the chest/shoulder area.  I don't know about you, but I'm tired of tugging at straps that constantly are slipping to places they shouldn't go.  Zal has conquered that.

....as evidenced by her beautiful new lingerie line that is going to be revealed July 1.  Publicity shots are being done and I have to tell you the pieces are gorgeous. To the right is one of the new sets in a gorgeous deep magenta, sleek and silky against my body.  I'm still teasing you so I'm not going to show you the set in entirety but check out that lacing in the back.  I will tell you there is a little teeny bow that ties the cups together in front.  Sassy.

Tuesday morning.....

Tuesday morning in my studio....hot coffee, new lingerie.  I know you can't see what I'm wearing, but trust me, it's g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.   Target is release of July 1......so keep your eyes on this spot and I'll share, just wanted to tease a bit for now and get your attention.

Let me say this, though.  I work for a very talented woman.  I've been told I'm biased when I say these types of things, but honestly, there is a reason I wanted to work at *VoguE* for Zalyn Bailey.  Two big things for me.....

1) Her prim work is spectacular, particularly on skirts.  The mermaid skirts amaze me.  I challenge you to put on a dress by someone else and one from *VoguE* and move.  Watch the flow of those skirts.  Zalyn's move freely in the manner you'd expect to see them move.  One night I went dancing in a new dress I'd received as a gift from a designer.  I came home and threw all those gowns out because the skirt did not flow with me or seem natural.  I felt like I was fighting it all night.

Back to my reasons.... 2) Her attention to detail.  Put on a bikini or a camisole from most anyone else.  Those straps running up from the bodice to your shoulders do NOT lay flat do they?  I am so uncomfortable in that, constantly wiggling.  Hard to go about your day when you are constantly adjusting your clothes.  Come try things from *VoguE* and you will find that the attention to detail, often taking numerous uploads to get right, is worth it.  You will find a nice smooth line, straps laying nice and flat and straight.  Makes me feel good that yes, it IS possible, Zalyn has taken the time to accomplish this.

Just like on this lingerie I'm wearing, the straps run straight from the cups to my shoulders....soon to be released.....and the others are just as gorgeous.  Trust me.  I've been drooling since I got my samples.  Eyes open ladies and gents, you will be VERY pleased.

Discovered in my Lazy Sunday journey

Occasionally I will do the Lazy Sundays where you follow a list to find items marked at $75L or less.  This week I was hopping around and I landed in Jersey Shore Seaside Heights.  Darling seaside town, colorful shops lining the streets, full of wonderful things.  I had a great time looking around and stumbled upon a wonderful little shop called priss.

Yes, "Miss Priss" came to mind and sure enough the clothing in the store was wonderfully girly.  I'd already made up my mind to buy the dress pictured to the right and then I clicked on it to find it was only $30L.  Yes, that was NOT a typo.  I didn't forget a one, two or three in front and didn't forget any zeros.  Needless to say, I bought a few things and all for less than I usually pay for one dress.  It's a small shop, but worth checking out.  I joined the update group and am anxious to see what gets unveiled.

WORN:  hair: Shag, siren in espresso.  dress: priss, florenciana dress in pink.  shoes: Ms Graphic Designs, MSD016 pure in almond.  earrings, necklace, bracelet: Miamai, river white set.  nails: Mandala in milky white.

Let the blogging begin......

Here I am in my studio, starting my blogging adventure......and why am I starting to blog?  Well, I'm currently a student at ModelPages International.  I happened to have won the modeling classes as a result of a contest I entered, "Could you be a Model," and one thing I just learned is that blogging can improve your chance of getting your name out there in the fashion world.  Who's going to sneeze at promoting themselves in this industry?  Not moi.

So....off and running my ramblings are.  I'm sure they are going to focus on fashion, many times on fashions from *VoguE* of course since I am a manager there, but c'mon the blog title is Rhawnie's Ramblings and that gives me license to do just that......ramble.

As I think about this, topics will probably often be about observations of a new model.  I've lucked out with my position at *VoguE* and with the contests I've entered with entirely no training.  I am the proverbial sponge soaking up all I can learn and have spent weeks if not months looking for all I can on the internet about modeling before I started my classes.  Probably a decent blog for newbies to the SL Fashion Industry to get some background based on my experiences.

Enough rambling for right now......start your engines......
